The vines sit on a south-facing clay slope beside Château Montaiguillon, which gives sunlight through the day and drainage after rain, while the clay holds water through a warm growing season. Farming is sustainable and certified HVE Level 3, and the fruit is machine-harvested at optimal maturity to hold on to freshness. Fermentation ran on natural yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel with a three-week maceration for colour and supple tannin, and the wine was matured without oak. In 2020 a mild winter and spring brought the vine's cycle forward by two weeks, and an exceptionally sunny first fortnight of September concentrated the berries for a small, ripe crop.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eFood and drinking\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eServe at 16-18°C.
