The 48 hectares of estate vineyard in the Stags Leap District are split into 28 blocks: steep, shallow-soiled hills to the east give density and power, the Palisades to the north bring ripeness and purity, and breezes off San Pablo Bay to the south add cooler notes of dried herbs and mint. The estate is certified as a Napa Green Vineyard \u0026amp; Winery. Winemaker Elizabeth Vianna ferments the hand-harvested, entirely estate-grown fruit with selected yeasts in stainless steel, with 30 to 40 days on the skins for colour and fine tannin, before 18 months in French oak, half of it new.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eFood and drinking\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGood with red meat, cheese and rich, creamy dishes.
