Grüner Veltliner 100%.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eThe producer\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eWeingut Rabl works 100 hectares of hillside vineyard in and around Langenlois, in Austria's Kamptal-Donau, under Rudolf Rabl Jr. The Käferberg site sits on primary rock soil with layers of limestone, and each vine is pruned individually to balance aeration and sun exposure, with yields held low and the berries sorted by hand at harvest. Whole bunches were picked at optimal ripeness, given several hours of skin contact, pressed and settled, then fermented with wild and selected yeasts in stainless steel and left on lees for around six months, which is where the texture comes from. Farming is certified by Sustainable Austria, and the estate took the IWSC White Wine Maker of the Year trophy in both 2019 and 2021.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eFood and drinking\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eServe at 10–12°C. Good with roast chicken, pork schnitzel, grilled white fish, or asparagus with new potatoes. Drinking well now and through to around 2030. Sealed under screwcap.
