Chardonnay 100%.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eThe producer\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTim and Judy Finn founded Neudorf in 1978 as pioneers of Nelson wine, and the estate is now run by their daughter Rosie with winemaker Todd Stevens and viticulturist Stef Brockley, on solar power, in lightweight glass. Rosie's Block, bought in 1999 and named for her, is a north-facing slope overlooking the home vineyard, bordered by a covenanted stand of native bush and new wetland plantings; clay and gravel, dry-farmed or barely irrigated, certified organic, hand-picked. The juice was pressed gently, settled 24–48 hours and fermented with wild yeast and high solids in French barriques, 15% new, ten months on full lees with monthly stirring through natural malolactic, then two months on fine lees in tank. 2023 was a generous, trouble-free season giving wines of volume and precision.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eFood and drinking\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGood with roast chicken, pork belly, scallops and creamy risotto. Drinking well now and will develop for five to eight years. Serve at 10–12°C.
