Barbera 100%.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eThe producer\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eMichele Chiarlo is one of Piedmont's best-known estates, founded in 1956 and now run by the founder's sons Alberto and Stefano, with holdings that take in the Cannubi and Cerequio vineyards in Barolo; in 2025 it was named European Producer of the Year at the Sommelier Wine Awards. Le Orme takes its name from Orme su La Court, the estate's artistic park, and the fruit comes from there and from Montemareto and Costa della Monarche in the Asti area, on the sedimentary marine soils known as Astiane Sands - calcareous clay marl with lime, sand and a notable magnesium content. Each vineyard block was picked fully ripe and fermented separately in stainless steel over ten days on the skins, the cap submerged by a gentle shower system; after malolactic conversion the wine was racked and aged in a combination of stainless steel and oak, with three months of that in oak, and the maturation ran to sixteen months including time in bottle.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eFood and drinking\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eServe at 16-18°C.
