About the Winery: The Andrea di Pec estate traces its roots to the mid-16th century, named after Andrea di Pec ‚¬” nephew of Frederico d‚¬™Attems, Chancellor of Gorizia in 1540. Renowned as a master viticulture teacher, Andrea passed his knowledge to generations of Friulian winegrowers. The estateof legacy continues today under the Collavini family, who have been making wine since 1896. Their commitment to Friuliof terroir and tradition ensures wines that combine heritage, quality, and purity.
Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Grigio ‚ grown in Friuliof mineral-rich red clay and gravel soils. The double-arched cane training system provides optimal sunlight exposure while maintaining canopy balance. The clayof high iron content enhances ripeness and aromatic expression, while gravel ensures excellent drainage and root development.
Appearance: Pale straw with silver reflections, bright and luminous in the glass.
Aroma: Expressive with aromas of citrus zest, fennel, pear, and hints of hay, almonds, and toasted nuts.
Palate: Smooth and elegant with creamy texture and layers of citrus, pear, and herbal spice. A short skin maceration and cool stainless-steel fermentation preserve freshness and minerality. The wine rests in tank and bottle for several months before release, enhancing integration and balance.
