Description

A rich, velvety and aromatic Lebanese blend with dark fruit, spice and impressive mountain-grown freshness.

About the Winery: IXSIR is one of Lebanon’s most acclaimed modern wineries, sourcing fruit from high-altitude sites across the country, including some of the highest vineyards in the Northern Hemisphere. The estate focuses on purity, elegance and sustainability, producing wines that combine Mediterranean ripeness with mountain freshness.

Grape Variety: Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot (typical El Ixsir blend)

Appearance: Deep garnet-purple with a dense, concentrated core and bright, youthful rim.

Aroma: Ripe blackberry, black cherry and plum layered with violet, sweet spice, cedar, tobacco leaf and a hint of Mediterranean herbs.

Palate: Full-bodied and silky with rich dark fruit, cocoa and warm spice. Polished tannins support a long, elegant finish marked by fresh acidity and subtle savoury complexity.

Body: Full

Acidity: Medium+

Cellaring Potential: Drink now or cellar for 8–12 years for added depth and savoury evolution.

Perfect Pairing: Lamb shoulder, grilled ribeye, duck breast, spiced Levantine dishes, roasted aubergine and hard cheeses.

Serving Temperature: 16–18°C
