About the Winery: Peterson Winery, founded in 1987 in Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County, is a family-run estate led by Fred Peterson and his son Jamie. Fred, formerly Vineyard Manager at the renowned Ridge Vineyards, champions sustainable farming and a minimalist approach he calls ‚¬œZero Manipulation‚¬‚¬”producing wines that reflect vineyard, vintage and balance. Using low-tech but high-touch methods, the Peterson family handcrafts expressive, artisanal wines with a deep sense of place and authenticity, making them icons of integrity in Northern California winemaking.

Grape Variety: Carignan 73%, Grenache 22%, Syrah 5%

Appearance: Deep ruby red with purple highlights and soft viscosity.

Aroma: Aromas of wild red fruits, floral tones, spice and earthy minerality with hints of raspberry and strawberry blossom.

Palate: Lush, fruit-driven and elegant with layers of red berries, pomegranate and subtle liquorice. Naturally fermented with indigenous yeasts, then aged 22 months in neutral French oak barrels, bottled unfiltered to preserve purity and texture. The result is a seamless, balanced wine with length and freshness.

Body: Medium ‚ smooth and expressive with fine tannins and natural lift.

Acidity: Medium ‚ giving balance and definition to the fruit profile.

Cellaring Potential: Enjoy now for vibrant fruit or cellar up to 2029 for mellow spice and tertiary character.
