About the Winery: Château Monbousquet is a historic Right Bank estate whose renaissance began in the early 1990s under the ownership of Gérard Perse. Through extensive vineyard replanting and modernisation, Monbousquet has become known for rich, polished and expressive Saint-Émilion wines. The estate sits on deep gravel and sandy soils with clay subsoils, producing Merlot-dominant blends of depth, aromatic intensity and supple tannins.
Grape Variety: Primarily Merlot with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon (proportions vary by vintage).
Appearance: Deep ruby-purple with rich concentration and a youthful, vibrant core.
Aroma: Black plum, blackberry and cassis layered with violets, cocoa, sweet spice, cedar and subtle graphite, showing both richness and refinement.
