Why this wine
Long regarded as the benchmark Rioja Reserva, and the wine most often used to define what the category should taste like. The 20% Garnacha is unusual at this level and gives it a spiced, fleshier character than pure Tempranillo. Still young — critics suggest a decade or more ahead of it.
