Appearance: Deep ruby with purple hues.

Aroma: Intense aromas of blackberry, black pepper, and smoked meat with hints of violet and earth.

Palate: Rich flavours of dark fruit, spice, and a touch of oak, with a velvety texture and balanced tannins.

Body: Full-bodied with a robust structure.

Acidity: Medium-high acidity that enhances the wine's freshness and longevity.

Cellaring Potential: Best enjoyed from 2023 to 2030, with potential for further aging.

Perfect Pairing: Grilled lamb chops with rosemary, beef stew, or aged cheddar cheese.

Serving Temperature: 16-18°C

Variety: 100% Syrah from estate-grown, cool-climate parcels.

Vineyard & Soils: Marine-influenced hillside blocks at Bien Nacido with sandy loam over sandstone/shale; coastal winds and long, cool seasons preserve acidity and spice.

Winemaking: Hand-harvested, gently destemmed, cold soak for aromatic lift; native fermentation with pump-overs/punch-downs for fine-grained tannins; bottled with minimal handling.

Oak Aging: Aged in French oak barrels (a portion new) to frame savoury complexity without overwhelming fruit.

Alcohol: Moderate alcohol typical of Santa Maria Valley Syrah, emphasizing balance and freshness.

Decanting: Decant 45-60 minutes before serving for optimal expression.

Glassware: Large Syrah/Shiraz or Burgundy stem to showcase aromatics.

Sustainability: Estate-farmed with sustainable practices focused on soil health and biodiversity.

Allergens: Contains sulfites.
