About the Winery: Chaeau Pont de Guitres is a family-owned estate in Lalande-de-Pomerol, passed down through generations. Since 1986, Remy Rousselot and his wife Ghislaine have led the estate, expanding it to four hectares while preserving traditional Bordeaux methods. Their son Cyril has since joined, ensuring continuity and innovation. The family works sustainably, following la lutte raisonnee to respect the environment and enhance biodiversity, crafting wines that express the character and heritage of this renowned appellation.
Grape Variety: Merlot 80%, Cabernet Franc 20%
Appearance: Deep garnet with ruby highlights and excellent intensity.
Aroma: Expressive nose of baked black fruits, blackcurrant and plum with hints of mushroom, tobacco and sweet spice.
Palate: Silky and beautifully balanced, showing ripe red and black fruits layered with subtle oak spice and earthy minerality. Matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, this wine offers finesse and length with a lingering, harmonious finish.
Body: Full ‚ rich and smooth with supple tannins and depth.
Acidity: Medium ‚ maintaining freshness amid ripe fruit concentration.
Cellaring Potential: Enjoy now or cellar until 2032 to develop tertiary nuances of leather, truffle and cedar.
