Description
How it tastes
Power and elegance together — pure, deep red fruit from old vines supported by spice, beautifully structured on the palate.
The producer
Maison Rouge is named for a small red house at the foot of an impressively steep registered plot. The Vernay estate covers 22 hectares across the northern Rhône's steepest terraced slopes.
Food and drinking
Good with red meat, poultry & pork and cheese. Built for the long term — decades, if kept well. Serve at 16–18°C.
