Description
How it tastes
Characteristic raspberry with hints of spice leading to a smooth palate of sweet Morello cherry and a touch of smoke. Beautifully structured.
The producer
Old vines in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, on the higher slopes behind Gevrey-Chambertin. More structure than the appellation usually gives, from a family with over 150 years in the village.
Food and drinking
Good with poultry & pork, red meat and cheese. Ready now, and will hold for a few years yet. Serve at 16–18°C.
