About the Winery: Bien Nacido Estate, situated in the cool-climate Santa Maria Valley of California’s Central Coast, is one of the region’s most iconic vineyard sites. Known for meticulous farming and terroir-focused winemaking, the estate produces small-lot, highly expressive wines under The Pillars Series label. “Succession” GSM is crafted from select parcels of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, showcasing a refined Rhône-style blend shaped by coastal influences, precision and vibrant natural acidity.

Appearance: Deep ruby with a vibrant, youthful rim and excellent clarity.
Aroma: Red cherry, blackberry and plum supported by notes of violets, cracked pepper, baking spice, dried herbs and a subtle coastal mineral lift.
Palate: Silky yet structured with ripe red and dark fruit, fine tannins, lifted acidity and a savoury, lingering finish. Balanced and expressive, showing the precision, freshness and textural finesse that define the estate’s cooler-climate Rhône blends.
Body: Medium to full-bodied with polished texture.
Acidity: Medium to high, enhancing freshness and ageing potential.
Cellaring Potential: Drink now or cellar 7–12 years to gain savoury complexity and deeper aromatic nuance.
