Description
A rich yet refined Valpolicella Ripasso showing vibrant red fruit, savoury spice, and smooth, velvety texture with hallmark Ripasso depth.
About the Winery: Musella is a historic organic and biodynamic estate located just east of Verona. Set within a protected natural reserve, the winery focuses on sustainable viticulture and traditional Veronese varieties. Their Ripasso is crafted using the classic technique of re-passing Valpolicella wine over Amarone pomace, adding richness, structure and aromatic intensity.
Grape Variety: Corvina & Corvinone (majority), Rondinella, and Barbera (typical estate blend)
Appearance: Deep ruby-red with garnet highlights and excellent clarity.
Aroma: Ripe cherry, plum and raspberry layered with sweet spice, dried herbs, cocoa and subtle hints of tobacco and dried fruit from the Ripasso process.
Palate: Smooth and generous with red and black fruit depth, soft tannins, spice and a touch of chocolate; well-balanced with the typical Ripasso richness and a long, warming finish.
Body: Medium to full
Acidity: Medium
Cellaring Potential: Drink now or age gracefully for 5–8 years for greater complexity and dried-fruit character.
Perfect Pairing: Roast pork, venison stew, pizza with sausage or mushrooms, aged cheeses, charcuterie and rich pasta dishes such as pappardelle with ragù.
Serving Temperature: 16–18°C
