About the Winery: El Enemigo, founded by winemaker Alejandro Vigil and historian Adrianna Catena, is one of Argentina’s most celebrated estates. The Gran Enemigo range is dedicated to showcasing the purity and personality of exceptional single-vineyard Cabernet Franc blends. El Cepillo, located in the Uco Valley at high altitude, is known for its stony alluvial soils and cool climate, producing wines of precision, tension, aromatic lift and remarkable longevity.

 

Grape Variety: Cabernet Franc with small percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec (composition varies by vintage).

 

Appearance: Deep ruby with violet highlights and excellent brightness.

 

Aroma: Intense notes of blackcurrant, plum, graphite, violets, fresh herbs and crushed stone, layered with subtle spice and cocoa from extended ageing.

 

Palate: Focused, mineral and structured with fine-grained tannins, vibrant acidity, precise dark fruit and a long, linear finish marked by savoury tension and freshness.

 

Body: Medium to full-bodied.

 

Acidity: High, contributing lift and precision.

 

Cellaring Potential: Exceptional ageing potential: 12–20 years from vintage.
