Description

Rounded and expressive, this coastal Chilean red blend bursts with forest fruits, cherry, and mulberry, layered with vanilla, mint, and tobacco on a silky, lingering finish.

About the Winery: Vina Echeverria is a family-owned estate founded in 1930, though its viticultural roots date back to the 1700s. Combining generations of expertise with a forward-looking approach, the Echeverria family produces an extensive portfolio from its modern Central Valley winery. Certified by Wines of Chile for sustainability, the estate embraces both innovation and heritage. The bold Coast exemplifies the winery's artisanal philosophy crafted with minimal intervention, natural fermentation, and a deep respect for Chile's coastal terroir.

Grape Variety: Mourvèdre 45%, Carignan 40%, Garnacha 10%, Syrah 5%, a Rhône-inspired blend expressing coastal freshness and layered complexity.

Appearance: Deep ruby with violet hues, reflecting concentration and brightness.

Aroma: Enticing aromas of cherry, raspberry, and mulberry intertwined with forest floor, vanilla, and a subtle herbal lift from natural fermentation.

Palate: Supple and fruit-forward, revealing flavours of ripe red berries, tobacco, and a touch of spice. The fine tannin structure lends balance and depth, leading to a persistent, fresh finish with a gentle coastal salinity.

Body: Medium-bodied with smooth texture and graceful weight.

Acidity: Fresh and lively, enhancing definition and fruit purity.

Cellaring Potential: Enjoy now for its vibrant character, or cellar for up to 6-8 years to develop savoury tertiary notes.

Perfect Pairing: Excellent with grilled pork, duck, or tomato-based Mediterranean dishes; also pairs well with charcuterie and aged cheeses.

Serving Temperature: Serve at 15-17°C to showcase freshness and aromatic complexity.
