2022 Beaune ‘Les Prévoles’ Blanc Constance, Domaine Rebourgeon-Mure
About the Winery: Domaine Rebourgeon-Mure is an historic, family-run estate based in Pommard, with a lineage stretching back to the 16th century. Known for meticulous vineyard work and traditional, terroir-led winemaking, the domaine produces expressive, elegant wines across the Côte de Beaune. ‘Les Prévoles’ Blanc Constance is sourced from a carefully selected parcel near Beaune, where limestone-rich soils and attentive farming yield Chardonnay of purity, finesse and a refined Burgundian profile.
Grape Variety: 100% Chardonnay
Appearance: Pale straw with green glints and bright clarity, indicative of youthful energy and limestone-driven freshness.
Aroma: Expressive notes of citrus blossom, lemon zest and green apple layered with subtle white flowers, crushed stones and hints of almond from gentle lees ageing. The bouquet is lifted, pure and classically Beaunois in style.
Palate: Precise and elegant with vibrant acidity supporting flavours of citrus, orchard fruit and delicate peach. A fine mineral backbone runs through the wine, complemented by soft creamy texture and subtle spice. The finish is long, clean and chalky, showcasing Beaune’s characteristic limestone expression.
Body: Light to medium-bodied with a refined, harmonious texture.
Acidity: Medium to high — lifted, fresh and essential to the wine’s structure and drive.
Cellaring Potential: 4–6 years; gaining additional texture, light hazelnut notes and deeper minerality with short-term ageing.
Perfect Pairing: Excellent with grilled fish, shellfish, roast chicken, creamy pastas, vegetable tarts, goat cheese and delicate risottos. Its balance of finesse and freshness makes it versatile across classic French and Mediterranean cuisine.
Serving Temperature: 10–12°C to highlight aromatic lift, mineral purity and elegant texture.
