How it tastes
Ripe black fruit perfumed with nut, spice, mocha and the fine herbal note characteristic of Maipo Alto. Elegant and complex, with supple tannins. Carmenère 94%, Cabernet Sauvignon 6%.
The producer
Pérez Cruz is a family-owned boutique estate of 250 hectares in the Andean foothills of Alto Maipo, working only red varieties. This comes from low-yielding vines on the Liguai Estate.
Food and drinking
Good with poultry & pork, red meat and spicy dishes. Ready now, and will hold for a few years yet. Serve at 16–18°C.
