About the Winery: Vina Perez Cruz is a family-owned winery located in the Alto Maipo, one of Chileof most esteemed regions for red wines. Founded in 2002, the estate spans 250 hectares of sustainably farmed vineyards and specialises in premium Bordeaux varieties. Their award-winning eco-friendly winery, designed by architect Jose Cruz Ovalle, uses natural light and thermal airflow to maintain ideal winemaking conditions. Under the guidance of winemaker German Lyon, Perez Cruz wines are celebrated for purity, structure and a distinct sense of place.
Grape Variety: Carménère 94%, Cabernet Sauvignon 6%
Appearance: Deep ruby red with purple reflections and excellent clarity.
Aroma: Opulent layers of blackberry, blackcurrant and mint with subtle mocha, nutmeg and fine herbal notes characteristic of Maipo Alto.
Palate: Rich and supple with concentrated dark fruit, sweet spice and chocolate nuances balanced by smooth tannins. Aged 14 months in French oak for depth and refinement, it finishes savoury and long.
Body: Medium-Full ‚ lush, silky and structured with fine texture.
Acidity: Medium ‚ lending freshness and lift to the ripe fruit character.
Cellaring Potential: Drink now or cellar up to 2030 to develop further spice and tertiary complexity.
