2022 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées, Boursot Père & Fils
About the Winery: Boursot Père & Fils, with roots extending back to the 16th century, is one of Chambolle-Musigny’s most historic domaines. Today, brothers Romaric and Romuald Boursot craft wines of exceptional finesse, purity and terroir expression, working sustainably across meticulously farmed parcels. Les Fuées, a Premier Cru parcel directly adjacent to the famed Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru, is known for producing wines of tension, aromatic lift and refined structure—often considered among the most elegant and mineral-driven expressions of Chambolle-Musigny.
Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir
Appearance: Fine, bright ruby with elegant translucence and a polished rim.
Aroma: Red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry layered with rose petal, violets, subtle spice, flint, and lifted minerality—classic Les Fuées elegance.
Palate: Silky, vibrant and deeply refined with pure red fruit, fine-grained tannins, lively acidity and an extended, perfumed finish. Displays exceptional poise, aromatic precision and mineral tension, reflecting its proximity to Bonnes-Mares.
Body: Medium-bodied with graceful texture and lift.
Acidity: Medium to high, giving tension, aromatic clarity and excellent ageing potential.
Cellaring Potential: Outstanding—enjoy now or cellar 10–15 years for deeper floral complexity and evolving savoury nuance.
Perfect Pairing: Roast duck, mushroom fricassée, herb-roasted poultry, charcuterie, and soft cheeses such as Reblochon or Brie.
Serving Temperature: 14–16°C to emphasise aromatic finesse and purity.
