2022 Gevrey-Chambertin, Boursot Père & Fils
About the Winery: Boursot Père & Fils is a historic family domaine based in Chambolle-Musigny, crafting classical, terroir-driven Burgundies with finesse and precision. Working with sustainably farmed vineyards and gentle cellar work, the domaine focuses on purity of fruit, fine tannins and an authentic expression of each village. Their Gevrey-Chambertin captures the appellation’s hallmark depth, dark-fruited profile and subtle savoury complexity.
Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir.
Appearance: Medium to deep ruby with a luminous core and a finely translucent rim.
Aroma: Dark cherry and black raspberry layered with violet, subtle forest floor, fine spice and a touch of graphite and mineral character typical of Gevrey-Chambertin.
Palate: Supple yet structured with ripe dark-red fruit, silky but present tannins, vibrant acidity and a savoury, persistent finish. Combines generosity of fruit with classic Côte de Nuits tension and length.
Body: Medium-bodied with good concentration and finesse.
Acidity: Medium to high, providing lift, definition and ageing capacity.
Cellaring Potential: Enjoy now for youthful vibrancy or cellar for 6–10 years from vintage to develop further savoury, earthy complexity and spice.
Perfect Pairing: Roast duck, charcuterie, mushroom dishes, grilled lamb cutlets and soft to semi-hard cheeses such as Comté or Tomme-style cheeses.
Serving Temperature: 14–16°C, ideally served slightly cool and allowed to open gently in the glass or a brief decant.
