About the Winery: Founded in 1978 by Italian-American brothers John and Harry Mariani, Banfi represents a pioneering fusion of passion and innovation in Montalcino winemaking. Partnering with the renowned enologist Ezio Rivella, Banfi transformed its Montalcino estate into one of Tuscanyof most respected producers, later acquiring the historic Piedmontese winery Bruzzone. Banfi holds the Equalitas certification for sustainable wine production and continues to set benchmarks for environmental stewardship and technical precision. Their commitment to terroir expression has earned Banfi global acclaim and a reputation for producing wines of depth, harmony and consistency.

Appearance: Deep garnet red with ruby highlights and rich viscosity.
Aroma: Expressive nose of red fruits with intense cherry tones, complemented by notes of liquorice, pepper and subtle oak spice.
Palate: Broad and structured, revealing layers of ripe red fruit, sweet tannins and savoury complexity. Fermentation in stainless steel with controlled maceration at 24°C ensures fruit purity, while ageing eight months in a combination of large oak casks and 350-litre French barriques (30% new) adds refinement and texture. A lingering finish with spice, balance and finesse completes this Super Tuscan blend.
