About the Winery: Saint Clair Family Estate was founded by Neal and Judy Ibbotson, pioneers of the Marlborough wine industry who first planted vineyards in 1978. Established in 1994, the estate now owns 160 hectares across 10 distinct sites, each selected for its unique terroir. Combining Nealof viticultural expertise with one of New Zealandof top winemaking teams, Saint Clair is certified by Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand and is internationally acclaimed for its quality and innovation. Since its first vintage in 1994 won multiple medals, the name Saint Clair has become synonymous with world-class Marlborough wines.

Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir

Appearance: Deep ruby with garnet edges and brilliant clarity.

Aroma: Perfumed and expressive, showing ripe red cherry, raspberry and redcurrant with delicate notes of charred oak and spice.

Palate: Silky and elegant with bright fruit, fine tannins and a long, smooth finish. The grapes were sourced from a single vineyard near the Waihopai Valley, benefiting from warm days and cool nights that enhance aromatic intensity. Fermented in small vats with daily hand plunging and matured 10 months in 25% new French oak barriques to achieve balance, structure and finesse.

Body: Medium ‚ supple and rounded with graceful texture.

Acidity: Medium ‚ maintaining freshness and lift through the red fruit core.

Cellaring Potential: Enjoy now for its freshness or cellar until 2029 to develop savoury and earthy complexity.

Perfect Pairing: Roast duck breast, seared salmon, or wild mushroom tart with herbs and thyme.
