About the Winery: Founded in 1996 by Dutch entrepreneur Mijndert Pon, Bodegas Salentein transformed the Uco Valley from rugged wilderness into one of Argentinaof most acclaimed wine regions. Its cross-shaped, gravity-fed winery sits at altitudes between 1,050 and 1,600 metres, surrounded by the Andes. The combination of high elevation, intense sunlight, and diverse soils produces wines of purity, elegance, and structure. Guided by winemakers Jose Galante and Jorge Cabeza, Salenteinof philosophy centres on expressing terroir and crafting wines of depth and balance, earning worldwide recognition for excellence and sustainability.

 

Grape Variety: 100% Malbec ‚ sourced from estate vineyards in Tunuyan and San Pablo, combining concentration, minerality, and aromatic finesse.

 

Appearance: Deep ruby with violet highlights, reflecting both richness and youthful vibrancy.

 

Aroma: Expressive bouquet of blackberry, plum, and blueberry interwoven with floral notes of rose petal and violet, accented by white pepper and graphite.

 

Palate: Juicy and layered, offering vibrant dark fruit flavours with hints of spice and minerality. Fine-grained tannins provide balance and texture, while the lively acidity adds precision and lift through the long, elegant finish.
