How it tastes
Silky and smooth, with wild-berried fruit, cherry and spice, the tannins fine and well integrated.
The producer
The oldest vines at Campo alle Comete are planted around the cellar itself, at the foot of the Castagneto Carducci hill in Bolgheri. The estate's entry into an appellation that made its name on Bordeaux varieties by the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Food and drinking
Good with red meat, cheese and pasta. Ready now, and will hold for a few years yet. Serve at 16–18°C.
