About the Winery: Domaine de la Solitude is one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s most historic estates, founded by the renowned Barberini family. Today the estate combines centuries of heritage with organic viticulture and precise cellar work to create refined, expressive Rhône wines. Cuvée Barberini is the domaine’s flagship expression, sourced from its finest old-vine parcels and produced only in exceptional vintages.
Grape Variety: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre (GSM blend; proportions vary by vintage)
Appearance: Deep ruby with garnet reflections and impressive density.
Aroma: Black raspberry, kirsch, wild herbs (garrigue), violets, sweet spice and subtle smoky minerality.
Palate: Full-bodied and silky, showing layers of ripe red and black fruit, polished tannins, savoury spice and a long, warming, elegant finish.
