Description

A unique blend of indigenous black grape varieties offering intense red berry aromas and citrus freshness.

About the Winery: Kuzuba? Estate Winery, founded in 2007 by Salih Kuzu and Asl? Kuzu, is based in ?stanbul and Denizli, Turkey. They established vineyards in their hometown of Çal, Denizli, honouring the region's terroir and winemaking heritage. After 13 years, a contemporary winery was built, and the first vintage was celebrated in 2021. They focus on demonstrating the potential of the Çal terroir using grapes exclusively from the region, with 34 hectares certified organic and the rest in conversion.

Grape Variety: Kalecik Karas? 54%, Çal Karas? 46% – Çal Karas? contributes strawberry and cherry aromas, while Kalecik Karas? adds body, darker red fruit aroma, and a hint of spice. Kalecik Karas?, a thin-skinned Central Anatolian variety from the Kalecik district near Ankara, is prized for its elegant texture, supple tannins, and notes of raspberry, black cherry, rose and gentle spice, lending structure and length in rosé. Çal Karas?, native to Çal in Denizli, thrives in the region’s elevation and limestone-rich soils, delivering vibrant acidity, fresh red fruits (strawberry, pomegranate, sour cherry) and a lively, refreshing character ideal for crisp, aromatic rosé styles.

Appearance: Subtle salmon coloured rosé.

Aroma: Intense red berried aromas complemented by fresh citrus notes.

Palate: Flavours of red berries and citrus, with a bright acidity and a balanced finish.

Body: Medium – The Kalecik Karas? grape contributes to the wine's body, providing a satisfying mouthfeel without being overly heavy.

Acidity: High – The bright acidity provides freshness and balances the fruit flavours, contributing to a crisp and lively profile.

Cellaring Potential: Short (2–5 yrs) – This rosé is crafted for immediate enjoyment, but its structure allows for short-term cellaring to further integrate its flavours.

Perfect Pairing: Grilled Chicken, Seafood Pasta, Fresh Salads

Serving Temperature: 8–10°C
