Description
A vibrant high-altitude Malbec from the Uco Valley, combining ripe dark fruit, floral lift and mineral freshness with a long, elegant finish.
About the Winery: Andeluna is based in Gualtallary in the Uco Valley, Mendoza, where high-altitude vineyards, cool nights and stony soils deliver wines of intensity and balance. The Altitud range showcases single-varietal expressions with focused fruit, refined oak and a clear sense of Andean terroir, produced with sustainable viticulture and careful, small-lot winemaking.
Grape Variety: Malbec 100%
Appearance: Deep violet-purple with an inky core and bright, youthful rim, showing excellent clarity and concentration.
Aroma: Ripe plum, blackberry and cassis layered with violets, wild herbs, black pepper and a touch of cocoa and sweet spice from oak ageing.
Palate: Concentrated yet fresh, with juicy black and blue fruits, hints of graphite and spice over a fine tannin frame; the finish is long, mineral and elegantly structured, reflecting its high-altitude origin.
Body: Medium to full
Acidity: Medium+ (bright, balancing the ripe fruit)
Cellaring Potential: Drink now for vibrant fruit or cellar for 5–7 years to gain more savoury, smoky and tertiary complexity.
Perfect Pairing: Argentinian asado, grilled ribeye or sirloin, lamb cutlets, beef empanadas, roasted aubergine and hard cheeses such as Manchego or mature cheddar.
Serving Temperature: 16–18°C
