Description
An elegant Pinot Noir with bright red fruits, floral notes, and a silky smooth finish.
About the Winery: Scribe Winery, founded in 2007, produces vibrant, terroir-driven wines from Sonoma, California. Managed by fourth-generation California farmers and brothers, Andrew and Adam Mariani, they believe in a harmonious relationship between man and nature, resulting in distinct wines that speak vividly of their provenance.
Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir – The grapes come from three vineyards across the Carneros AVA, blending Dijon 777 for richness, Dijon 115 for pure Pinot Noir flavours, and Pommard for dark fruit.
Appearance: Pale to medium ruby with a translucent core and a slight garnet rim; bright, youthful hue with light staining and moderate viscosity.
Aroma: Bright red fruits, floral notes, rhubarb, and a touch of cacao.
Palate: Silky with refined tannins, offering a long, smooth finish with concentrated fruit flavours.
Body: Full - This wine is described as having a rich, velvety, and complex body, with concentrated fruit flavours.
Acidity: High - The wine retains natural, balancing acidity, which contributes to its freshness and vibrancy.
Cellaring Potential: Short (2–5 yrs) - While ready to drink now, the wine's structure suggests it could benefit from a few years of cellaring to further integrate its flavours.
Perfect Pairing: Poultry, Cheese, Red Meat
Serving Temperature: 15–16°C for reds
