Description
A crisp and characteristically fresh white wine with lively citrus notes.
About Verdicchio: Native to the Marche (notably Castelli di Jesi and Matelica), Verdicchio is prized for high acidity, chalky minerality, and a subtle almond finish. Typical notes include green apple, lemon, fennel, and white flowers. In Matelica, the cooler inland climate yields tighter structure, pronounced saline drive, and strong ageing potential for the style.
About the Winery: Agricola Tenuta Colpaola embodies a passion for Verdicchio, as well as for the land that makes it unique: Matelica and the Marche region. The Porcarelli family has owned the Tenuta Colpaola estate in the Braccano Frazione of Matelica since the 1970s. They farm organically and are fully certified, producing only one style of Verdicchio to preserve freshness and authenticity.
