Description
How it tastes
Lively citrus with delicate white florals, marked acidity beneath the fruit and a saline note on a long, persistent finish. Minimal intervention, cool static decantation, stainless steel.
The producer
Verdicchio means 'little green one', for the green tint in the skins. Matelica is the smaller and higher of its two zones, and the Porcarelli family have farmed Tenuta Colpaola at Braccano since the 1970s.
Food and drinking
Good with seafood, salads and poultry & pork. Ready now, and will hold for a few years yet. Serve at 10–12°C.
