Description
Fine and well-balanced with a mellow flavour.
About the Winery: Moët has been associated with the sparkle of success and glamour ever since the House was founded in 1743 by Claude Moët. Moët et Chandon is now the leading vine-grower in Champagne, with the most extensive vineyards. Their cellars are located 10 to 30-meters under the chalky soil near Epernay, spanning 28km. This legendary subterranean labyrinth provides a uniquely ideal setting for the metamorphosis of choice fruit into the House's luxurious wine.
Grape Variety: 35% Pinot Meunier, 35% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay – Pinot Meunier contributes fruitiness and roundness, Pinot Noir provides structure and red fruit notes, and Chardonnay adds elegance, freshness, and citrus aromas.
Varietal Details: Pinot Meunier brings juicy orchard fruit (pear, apple) and soft florals with a supple, approachable texture; Pinot Noir delivers the backbone with red berries (cherry, raspberry), subtle spice, and length; Chardonnay imparts bright citrus, white flowers, and chalky minerality, lending finesse and age-worthiness.
Appearance: Pale gold with fine, persistent bubbles.
Aroma: A creamy and fruity nose with deep toastiness, touches of caramel, ripe citrus, and stone fruits.
Palate: Integrated stony minerality with a gentle mousse and fine acidity, offering a restrained, delicate complexity with excellent length.
Body: Medium - The wine has a balanced structure, offering both richness and freshness without being overly heavy or light.
Acidity: High - The fine acidity contributes to the wine's freshness and length, balancing the fruit and creamy notes.
Cellaring Potential: Short (2–5 yrs) - While enjoyable now, this Champagne can develop further complexity with a few years of cellaring.
Perfect Pairing: Seafood, Poultry, Cheese
Serving Temperature: 8–10°C
