Description
How it tastes
Crystalline and pure — citrus, white flowers and almond, silky on the palate with a mineral, finely drawn finish. All Chardonnay.
The producer
This comes from Trépail and Villers-Marmery, two Premier Crus of the Montagne de Reims unusual for growing Chardonnay in what is predominantly Pinot country. North-facing slopes keep the acidity high.
Food and drinking
Good with seafood, rich & creamy dishes and poultry & pork. Ready now, and will hold for a few years yet. Serve at 8–10°C.
