How it tastes
Seamless and pure, opening with green apple over creamy, smoky notes into a harmonious and wonderfully persistent palate. All Chardonnay.
The producer
Nicholas Coates and Christian Seely — one from finance, one from winemaking — set out in 2008 to make English sparkling wine of real quality. The Hampshire vineyards sit between the chalk stream of the River Test and the high chalk ridge to the north.
Food and drinking
Good with seafood, rich & creamy dishes and poultry & pork. Ready now, and will hold for a few years yet. Serve at 8°C.
