Description
How it tastes
Citrus and pastry on the nose, then white fruit, florals, brioche and minerality with real length. All Chardonnay from Grand Cru Avize.
The producer
Avize sits at the heart of the Côte des Blancs and is among Champagne's most prized Chardonnay villages. Made by Champagne Sanger, founded in 1952 by sixteen growers. 30% skips malolactic to preserve freshness, and the wine is vinified parcel by parcel.
Food and drinking
Good with seafood, rich & creamy dishes and poultry & pork. Ready now, and will hold for a few years yet. Serve at 8°C.
