Why this wine
Barbaresco is Nebbiolo from slightly warmer, lower ground than Barolo, and Roncaglie is one of the commune's named crus — here made by Vietti in the traditional way, submerged cap and 30 months in big casks, with no filtration. Refined rather than muscular, and it will age for decades. The elegant counterpart to a serious Barolo.
