We are not the cheapest shop in Britain to a passer-by, and we have never pretended to be. To a member, we are.
Why we can do this
Membership is how we make our money.
A shop that lives on margin has to charge you margin. We would rather sell wine at close to cost to people who have already backed us, and spend our time finding bottles worth backing.
It is also why the range is small. Every wine here has been chosen by us and tasted by us. If it is available in a supermarket, it does not belong on this list.

Find it cheaper in the UK and we pay you the difference.
Same wine, same vintage, in stock at a UK retailer, within 14 days of your order. Send us the link and we refund the difference against what you paid.

- Everyone on your account
- Membership covers the household, not just the person who paid for it.
- Leaving is two clicks
- Cancel from your account. No phone call, no email, and nobody will try to talk you out of it.
- Is it really the lowest price in the UK?
- On almost everything we sell, yes. But we are a small team and there are hundreds of merchants in Britain, so we will not claim we have seen every price on every bottle. That is why the promise exists rather than just the boast.
- What can you not match?
- Fairer to say here than to bury it. In-bond and en primeur prices, which exclude duty and VAT and are not comparable to a delivered bottle. Multi-buy and mixed-case rates. Other merchants’ own member or subscriber prices. Auction and marketplace listings. Clearance and closing-down sales. There is a £3 minimum on a claim and a cap of six a year.
- What happens if I cancel?
- Your member pricing continues to the end of the year you have already paid for, and nothing renews. Cancel within 14 days of joining and we refund the fee, less a proportionate amount for the days it was active.
- Can I buy it for someone else?
- Not yet. Membership is tied to the account that pays for it and renews on that card, so gifting it would create more problems than it solves. We would rather build it properly than bolt it on.
