About the Winery: Founded in 2003, Andeluna produces premium mountain wines from their 70-hectare vineyard situated at an elevation of 1,300 metres in the rocky terroir of Gualtallary, Tupungato in the Uco Valley, Mendoza. The vineyard is managed using sustainable practices and in 2015 the entire vineyard was soil mapped with cultivation methods adapted accordingly. Since 2020, the vines have been certified organic.

Grape Variety: 100% Malbec – offers complex aromas of ripe red fruits, violet, vanilla, tobacco, and chocolate, with a structured, full-bodied profile and rounded tannins.

Appearance: Deep purple core with a ruby-violet rim; opaque concentration and slow, stained legs indicating richness and extract.

Aroma: Complex aromas of ripe red fruits and sweet notes of violet are complemented by delicate hints of vanilla, tobacco and a touch of chocolate.

Palate: A structured, full bodied and aromatic wine, enhanced by rounded sweet tannins and a long-lasting finish.

Body: Full - This wine is described as full-bodied, indicating a rich and substantial mouthfeel.

Acidity: Medium - The 2019 vintage shows freshness due to its natural acidity, providing balance to the wine.

Cellaring Potential: Short (2–5 yrs) - Aged for 12 to 18 months in new French oak barrels and a minimum of eight months bottle ageing, suggesting it can be enjoyed now or aged for a few years.

Perfect Pairing: Red Meat, Hard Cheese, Lamb (think grilled ribeye, lamb chops, venison, aged cheddar, or manchego).

Serving Temperature: 15–16°C for reds (decant 30–45 minutes for best expression).
