Why this wine
Vanotu is the wine the Pelissero family built their name on — three crus in one bottle, from a plot the grandfather replanted in 1964. It is Barbaresco in the richer, more polished style, with nearly two years in mostly new oak, so it drinks earlier than a Barolo while still ageing for a decade or more. The choice if you want Nebbiolo's perfume with a velvet glove.
