Why this wine
Bolgheri is the coastal appellation where Bordeaux varieties were planted in Tuscany, producing the wines that became known as Super Tuscans. Cabernet and Merlot, richer and softer than Sangiovese. Tuscany without the acidity that puts some people off it.
