2020 Vanotu, Langhe Barbaresco, Pelissero
A velvety and aromatic Barbaresco with expressive notes of raspberry and cherry, complemented by rose, sage, mint and thyme, sweet tannins and an everlasting finish.
About the Winery: Pelissero is a family estate in Treiso, in the heart of the Barbaresco DOCG area. Since 1960, the Pelissero family has produced wines that capture the essence of Piedmontof terroir. Today, winemaker Giorgio Pelissero continues the legacy with 42 hectares of sustainably cultivated vineyards certified SQNPI. The estateof sandstone and blue marl soils contribute to the elegance and aromatic depth of their Nebbiolo-based wines, which are internationally acclaimed for their precision and finesse.
Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo.
Appearance: Garnet red with brick hues at the rim and brilliant clarity.
Aroma: Expressive and floral, revealing notes of raspberry, cherry, rose, sage, mint, and thyme intertwined with a touch of spice and cedar.
Palate: Refined and layered, showcasing red fruit intensity and floral complexity. Sweet tannins, fine structure, and a long, elegant finish highlight the precision of Nebbiolo from Barbarescoof limestone-rich soils.
Body: Full-bodied (Body Value: D) with refined tannins and balance.
Acidity: Bright and structured, supporting the wineof ageing potential and freshness.
Cellaring Potential: Can age beautifully for 10‚15 years, evolving more savoury and tertiary notes over time.
