About the Winery: In 2002 Swiss-born winemaker Jean-Claude Martin and his South African wife Carolyn founded Creation Wines on the cool-climate Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge of Walker Bay. Their virus-free vines climb the foothills of Babylonstoren Mountain, thriving in ancient quartzite and clay-rich soils tempered by Atlantic breezes. Grape Variety: Syrah 75%, Grenache 25%
Appearance: Deep ruby with violet edges and bright clarity.
Aroma: Complex aromas of ripe plum, black pepper and tapenade with subtle herbal and smoky undertones.
Palate: Rich and layered with plush fruit and fine spice. Fermented in large foudres and stainless steel before 14 months maturation in 25% new and 75% second- and third-fill French oak. A cool Atlantic influence and clay-loam Bokkeveld shale soils create lift, minerality and balance. Silky tannins lead to a long, savoury finish with black pepper and umami complexity.
Body: Full ‚ plush and structured with fine-grained tannins.

Cellaring Potential: Drink now for vibrant fruit or cellar to 2032 for greater savoury depth and integration.
