Grape Variety: 100% Syrah (cool-climate expression).

 

Region & Terroir: Santa Maria Valley, Santa Barbara County. A cool, maritime-influenced AVA with morning fog, afternoon winds, and extended hang-time that preserves acidity and aromatic lift; predominantly sandy loam and marine-influenced soils that emphasize spice and florals over jamminess.

 

Appearance: Deep ruby with purple hues.

 

Aroma: Aromas of blackberry, violet, and a hint of black pepper.

 

Palate: Rich flavors of dark fruit, with notes of spice and a touch of earthiness, balanced by smooth tannins.

 

Texture & Tannins: Fine-grained, polished tannins with a supple, silky mid-palate and persistent, savory finish.
