About the Winery: Established in 2010 by Adrianna Catena and Alejandro Vigil, El Enemigo is an independent project born from their shared pursuit of excellence and authenticity. Vigil, chief winemaker at Catena Zapata, brings technical mastery and innovation, while Catenaof academic insight anchors the wines in terroir expression. Their vineyards in Mendozaof Piedemonte al Sur region‚¬”ranging from 930 to 1,470 metres above sea level‚¬”produce wines defined by purity, balance and age-worthy structure. The name ‚El Enemigo reflects their philosophy: to challenge convention and embrace creativity.
Grape Variety: 100% Chenin Blanc
Appearance: Pale gold with bright clarity and fine viscosity.
Aroma: Inviting aromas of sea breeze, baked lemon, and juniper layered with almond, wet stone and subtle nutty complexity.
Palate: Richly textured and precise, showing ripe pear, apple and citrus tones supported by saline minerality and tangy freshness. The unoaked vinification in concrete vessels preserves purity and highlights the terroirof natural tension.
Body: Medium ‚ supple and structured with elegant texture.
Acidity: High ‚ crisp and linear, bringing vibrancy and length.
