About the Winery: Viña Pérez Cruz

 is a family-owned winery located in the Maipo Andes subregion, one of Chile's most celebrated areas for premium reds. Founded in 2002, the estate spans 250 hectares of sustainably farmed vineyards and is certified by Sustainable Wines of Chile. Architect Jose Cruz Ovalle designed the eco-friendly winery to integrate natural light and airflow, ensuring optimal winemaking conditions. Under winemaker German Lyon, the winery has built a global reputation for producing concentrated yet refined wines with clear varietal definition.

Grape Variety: Cot (Malbec) 95%, Cabernet Franc 5%

Appearance: Deep purple with violet reflections and pronounced intensity.

Aroma: Intense black plum and cassis aromas uplifted by raspberry, lemongrass, eucalyptus and graphite, offering a perfumed complexity.

Palate: Opulent yet fresh, with red cherry and dark fruit depth framed by fine tannins. Aged 14 months in seasoned French oak, the wine shows texture and balance with a smooth, elegant finish and subtle herbal lift.

Body: Medium-Full ‚ rounded and silky with polished structure.

Acidity: Medium ‚ providing brightness and length to the rich fruit core.

Cellaring Potential: Drink now for aromatic purity or cellar until 2031 for further depth and spice integration.

Perfect Pairing: Ideal with grilled lamb chops, duck breast with cherry sauce, or roasted aubergine and lentils.
