Description
How it tastes
Intense black fruit with cedar, spice, violets and the graphite and herbal notes Cabernet Franc gives. Firm tannins around a fresh, textured palate. Cabernet Franc 90%, Merlot 10%, moved into vat by gravity.
The producer
Undurraga was founded in 1885 and farms 1,350 hectares across Chile's best areas. The Terroir Hunter range exists to bottle specific sites rather than blend across valleys — this vineyard at Catemito in Maipo was planted exclusively for it.
Food and drinking
Good with poultry & pork, red meat and cheese. Drinking well now, with a decade or more ahead of it. Serve at 16–18°C.
