Description
How it tastes
Dry, elegant and aromatic — citrus and apple with delicate florals, crisp and mineral with a mouth-watering finish. Twelve hours of skin maceration before pressing.
The producer
Passerina is an old Marche variety grown almost nowhere else, its thick skins giving the wine an intense minerality. Giovanni Carminucci founded the estate in 1928; his son Piero now farms 45 organic hectares between Offida and Grottammare.
Food and drinking
Good with seafood, salads and poultry & pork. Ready now, and will hold for a few years yet. Serve at 8–10°C.
