Why this wine
Chenin Blanc is South Africa's most planted white and, for decades, its most wasted — old vines pulled up or sent to the distillery because the wine was worth so little. The bushes that survived are now the country's greatest asset, and Breedekloof holds more of them than anywhere else. Remarkable substance for the price.
