Description

How it tastes

Green apple, freshly cut lemon and sourdough with grilled walnut and apricot, the mousse fine and textured. Chardonnay 34%, Pinot Meunier 33%, Pinot Noir 33%.

The producer

The Goring family have owned Wiston since 1743; Harry and Pip preside today, with son Richard and his wife Kirsty running it day to day. The chalk soils are the same formation that runs under Champagne.

Food and drinking

Good with seafood, poultry & pork and cheese. Ready now, and will hold for a few years yet. Serve at 8°C.
