Why this wine

Peumo is the address for Chilean Carménère, and Terroir Hunter draws on a single 4.05-hectare plot there rather than blending across the valley. Very low cropping and twelve months in French oak give it structure without burying the fruit. It shows what the variety does when the site is chosen for it.
